Math On Wheels Project

Math On Wheels Lessons and Documents

Our Math On Wheels kits are completed resources for teachers to use in their classroom teaching. These roll away kits include all of the necessary manipulatives for the suggested lessons included in each kit. The documents posted here are the lessons and handouts suggested by the kit. Use these handouts and lesson ideas with your own manipulatives, or contact Laura Bitto, lebitt@wm.edu to check out the kit with all of the manipulative materials ready to go for teaching convenience

Math On Wheels Video Guides: Using the Manipulatives

The Math On Wheels kits include manipulative based lessons and instructional strategies. These videos are guides for using the specific manipulatives in the kits. The following topics are included as videos: fraction operations using Pattern Blocks, decimal operations using Base Ten Blocks, exploring polygons using AngLegs, and perimeter explorations using one inch cubes. These videos were designed for teachers to view in preparation of using manipulatives in their lessons. They are not intended for showing as or during instruction in the classroom.
